The surface burned, the brass melted, and a raw volcanic pattern revealed itself \u2014 violent, beautiful, and absolutely unrepeatable. Its heavy, thick blade demanded balance, answered by African Blackwood, one of the densest woods on earth.\r\n\r\nLoss & Gain was born from another forging accident \u2014 a hammered texture that refused to form. The blade was ground thinner than intended, pushed to the edge of structural safety, then acid-etched until a new pattern surfaced.
