These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of Riceknife.com and any transactions made therein. By accessing or using this website, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. General Provisions

1.1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the website, making purchases from Riceknife, or engaging with any services offered by Riceknife, you expressly acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the “Customer”) and Linbech ApS (the “Company”), governing your access and use of this website and any transactions made herein.

1.2 Modifications to Terms
Riceknife reserves the right to modify or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. It is the Customer’s responsibility to review these Terms regularly. Continued use of the website or services following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Shipping and Delivery

2.1 Shipping Fees
Shipping costs are determined based on the delivery destination and are displayed during the checkout process. Shipping fees are non-refundable unless explicitly agreed upon by Riceknife.

2.2 Dispatch and Delivery Times
While Riceknife endeavors to process and dispatch orders placed before 16:00 CET on the same business day, delivery timelines provided are estimates and are not guaranteed. Riceknife shall not be held liable for delays resulting from third-party carriers, customs clearance, or any events beyond its control, including but not limited to strikes, natural disasters, or government-imposed restrictions.

2.3 Risk of Loss
All products purchased are shipped pursuant to a shipment contract. Upon handover to the shipping carrier, risk of loss or damage to the products passes to the Customer. Any claims for damages during transit must be filed directly with the carrier by the Customer.

3. Right of Withdrawal and Returns

3.1 Right of Withdrawal
The Customer may exercise their statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 30 days of receiving the goods. Notification of intent to withdraw must be communicated via email to info@riceknife.com or by calling +45 2046 4690. Upon receipt of such notification, the Customer is granted an additional 30 days to return the goods.

3.2 Return Shipping
The cost of return shipping is the sole responsibility of the Customer, unless the return is due to a proven defect or error on the part of Riceknife. The Customer assumes the risk for any loss or damage during the return shipment process.

3.3 Condition of Returned Goods
Returned items must be in their original, unused condition, including all original packaging, accessories, and documentation. Riceknife reserves the right to reduce the refund amount or reject the return if the items are returned in a used, damaged, or incomplete condition.

3.4 Refund Processing
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of Riceknife receiving the returned goods, provided they are returned in acceptable condition. Refunds will be made to the original payment method, and shipping costs will not be refunded unless the return is due to Riceknife’s error.

4. Complaints and Limited Liability

4.1 Filing a Complaint
Complaints concerning defective products must be submitted within a reasonable time after the defect has been identified. Any complaint filed more than two months after the discovery of the defect shall be deemed untimely and invalid. 4.2 Remedies for Defective Products
Riceknife retains the exclusive right to determine the appropriate remedy for defective products. This may include repair, replacement, or a partial or full refund, depending on product availability and the nature of the defect. As Riceknife’s products are often limited edition, replacements may not always be available. In such cases, Riceknife may, at its sole discretion, offer an alternative product or a suitable resolution.

4.3 Exclusion of Normal Wear and Tear
This warranty does not cover defects caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, or failure to follow care instructions. It is the Customer’s responsibility to use and maintain the product appropriately to avoid damage.

4.4 Rust Exclusion
Due to the nature of the materials used in our products, including high-carbon steel, rust is a natural occurrence and is not considered a valid reason for return. Customers are encouraged to follow proper care instructions to prevent rust, such as keeping the product dry and well-maintained after use. Failure to maintain the product as advised will void any claims relating to rust.

4.5 Limitation of Liability
Riceknife’s liability is limited to the value of the products purchased. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Riceknife shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to lost profits, loss of business, or loss of data.

5. Customs Duties and Taxes

5.1 International Orders
For international orders, the Customer is solely responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or additional fees imposed by the destination country. Such charges are typically collected by the shipping carrier at the time of delivery and are not covered by Riceknife.

5.2 Customer Liability for Fees
Riceknife bears no responsibility for additional costs related to customs clearance or importation. It is the Customer’s duty to inquire with local customs authorities regarding applicable charges before placing an order.

5.3 Refusal of Delivery
If a Customer refuses delivery of an international shipment due to unpaid customs fees or taxes, the Customer will be held responsible for any additional shipping or handling costs incurred as a result of the refusal.

6. Warranty Policy

6.1 Warranty Discretion
Due to the limited edition nature of many Riceknife products, any warranty claims will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, at the sole discretion of Riceknife. In the event that a product is no longer available, Riceknife reserves the right to offer alternative remedies, such as repair, partial refund, or store credit.

6.2 Product Availability
As many Riceknife products are created in limited quantities, replacements may not always be possible. Riceknife is not obligated to reproduce or restock limited edition products to fulfill warranty claims.

6.3 Exclusion of Warranty for Wear and Tear
Riceknife’s warranty does not extend to normal wear and tear, misuse, improper care, or failure to follow the product’s care instructions. The Customer is encouraged to handle all products responsibly and use them for their intended purposes to maintain their quality.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

7.1 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

7.2 Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts.

8. Discrepancies

In the event of any discrepancy between the content provided on the website and these Terms and Conditions, the provisions outlined in these Terms and Conditions shall take precedence.
